Getting wrapped up in the natural wonder of our wine country is easy to do.
But don’t let that stop you from enjoying our many shops. Augusta’s openness to artists has attracted master craftsmen and others who appreciate hand-made work. Antiques, works of art, handmade jewelry and crafts are plentiful. If you see a shop that is of interest to you, we encourage you to call ahead and talk directly with the owner about what you are looking for.

Catch the Katy
Come Catch the Katy
If you caught the Katy train that is from the 1860s through the end of the railroad’s existence in 1988, you would have gone west like so many others. Your journey would have taken you through fertile fields, a verdant river valley, and through the heart of what we know as Missouri Wine Country. I grew up within earshot of that train whistle near our great state capitol of Jefferson City, MO. I’m now blessed to call Augusta Missouri my home, where wineries, B&B’s, and beautiful scenery are my everyday. From this blessed existence and backdrop, I’ve created a line of products that celebrates our glorious heritage and our bright future! So come with me, and “Catch the Katy!”

Sunflower Hill Farm
Once a llama farm in the 1990’s, Sunflower Hill Farm has truly transformed into a premiere venue since its purchase, by Mike and Karen, in July of 2014. While the farm was originally intended as a place for Karen to expand her green thumb, it wasn’t long before the beauty of the farm caught the attention of brides-to-be! At the time, the property included a dilapidated farmhouse and a small shed, so weddings were hosted outdoors without any bells and whistles. It soon became clear that this hobby farm was meant for so much more. Their vision began to grow.
While Sunflower Hill Farm has remained rooted in being family-owned and operated, we are proud to say we have grown into a multi-functional farm that provides the surrounding community and St. Louis area with organic produce and a community supported agriculture program. Outside of the vegetable garden and the chicken coop, Sunflower Hill Farm houses an event venue, large farmhouse, and quarry bonfire area that is available to rent for weddings, private parties, weekend getaways, retreats, and corporate events.
