Celebrate Augusta’s German heritage! The Friends of Historic Augusta Museum are showcasing an inaugural Octoberfest outside from 1 – 4 pm on Sunday, October 1.  Food includes brats, sauerkraut, homemade potato salad, and German “goodies” for a donation of $5 – $10.  Beer sampling from Good News Brewery, generously donated by Dan Tripp, will be available.  Bring a lawn chair or blankets to relax in the Friendship Garden.  The Octoberfest is weather permitting, but the museum will be open, rain or shine. Search your closets for any Deutsche heritage finery to wear for the occasion. Come join the festivities, with or without something German to wear.  Hope to see you there!
