Root Food + Wine is a rustic yet elegant, boutique restaurant in the heart of Missouri Wine Country, just up from the Katy Trail, in downtown historic Augusta, Missouri. It offers a locally sourced pre-fix dining experience, either inside the nostalgic 1905 vintage home or outside herb gardens, located on the grounds of Oaks Crossing.
Root Food + Wine is the fruition of a journey started by Chef Philip Day, 20 years ago. Chef Day’s philosophy is to offer warm and gracious service, along with the highest quality of local sustainable produce for his cuisine.
The menu changes frequently with seasonality at the forefront. Guests can choose between a 3, 5, or 7 course or an a la carte experience. Wine and craft beer options and pairings are always available.
