The 238-mile Katy Trail is a Missouri State Park and crosses the state, from Machens to Clinton. Bicyclists, joggers, and walkers use the trail. Dogs are welcome! MM32, the site of the former MKT rail station in Augusta is a popular stop. From Augusta, take Public Street down the hill for Katy Trail parking.

Augusta Town Square
An old fashioned town square with playground equipment, picnic tables and large old trees for shade. The square is in the heart of town and the site of many community activities including special events during the annual Candlelight Christmas Walk and Harvest Festival. Enjoy a day on the Missouri River with Family and Friends! Klondike Boat Ramp has plenty of parking available and is free to the public.
Augusta Town Park
Grass covered rolling hills invite you to have a picnic, lay in the grass and take in the sunshine. Pavilion and picnic tables are available. Located behind Sehert House and across from Mt Pleasant Winery on High Street.
Klondike Park
Klondike Park is 250 acres of scenic property, featuring more than 4 miles of natural and paved trails for hiking and biking. Once the site of an old silica sand quarry, the area has been preserved and turned into beautiful parkland. A unique lookout bluff provides picturesque views of the Missouri River Valley, as well as the historic Katy Trail. It features six rustic cabins that sleep up to eight guests, 43 campsites with restrooms and a shower house nearby. It also features a large fishing lake fully stocked with bluegill, bass, and catfish and free boat ramps to access the Missouri River.
