Applications will be available Monday, February 26, 2024 with a deadline of Monday April 15, 2024. Presentation of the scholarship will be at the final art awards and sale on Saturday, May 4, 2024. Organizers expect to award two $1000 scholarships for the 2024-2025 school year to qualified students who live within the Augusta Fire Protection District. Applications will be available at the Augusta Branch Library. Students can also access electronic copies through Washington and St. Francis Borgia High School’s web pages. A link to the application forms can also be found on the Boone Country Connection’s website.”

Femme Osage UCC Sausage Supper
Femme Osage United Church of Christ, Femme Osage, will hold its annual pork sausage and sauerkraut dinner Sunday, March 10th, from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. The dine-in or carryout dinner will include whole pork sausage, sauerkraut, mashed potatoes with gravy, green beans, applesauce, and a choice of dessert. Fresh Sausage will be available for sale. The church is located at 4360 Cappeln Osage Road off Highway T.

“BEST OF AUGUSTA” PHOTO CONTEST — Final Deadline
We invite Augusta residents and photography enthusiasts to enter the April Contest, which focuses on the charming uniqueness of Augusta. Be creative in capturing what makes this small town so special. Think “postcard quality.” Would you purchase your photo on a postcard? We are in the process of choosing 4 pictures to print on postcards of places, activities, and so on that represent the Town of Augusta within its city limits. The deadline is extended to May 6 for entries to be at the post office or in our hands for judging. For more information visit www.townofaugustamo.org under “Photo Contests.”

Violinist Christian Howes

Come join us by supporting this very talented and recognized violinist making an appearance in our town of Augusta. The Monday night, March 25, performance is sure to please a variety of musicians and enthusiastic music lovers. Doors open 30 minutes before the concert.

St. Patrick’s Day Celebration
Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at the Augusta Harmonie Verein. Live entertainment begins at 7:00 pm with the Clarkson School of Irish Dance performance. Afterwards the Divine Irish Band offers music with an Irish flare. Guinness floats and desserts add an Irish touch. Doors open at 6:30 pm.
